Top hues like It’s All Greek To Me and Lincoln Park After Midnight return in its Most Requested collection, as this iconic brand plans for a big launch next month.

Some shades never go out of style. This fall, OPI is celebrating 45 years of nail color by reopening its “vault” and bringing back some of its most-loved nail shades as permanent additions to the nail color lineup.
OPI’s Most Requested Collection features 24 permanent nail lacquer and Infinite Shine shades, bringing together “beloved archival favorites and reimagined classics inspired by OPI’s most iconic colors,” according to the Happi International Top 30 Company.
According to Global Head of OPI Lori Pantel, the beauty company has always placed “social listening” at the heart of creating products.
“We value hearing directly from our community about the shades they love most and, more importantly, the meaning and memories they attach to them,” she told Happi. “That insight inspired us to look closely at some of the most requested shades from our community and bring back colors that have created a lasting emotional connection.”
For OPI, nail color has always been about more than polish, added Pantel.
“Every color represents a moment, a memory or a feeling, whether it’s the shade someone wore on their wedding day, to their first job interview or simply during a moment of self-care,” said Pantel. “This collection celebrates those connections while reinforcing what OPI has always stood for: iconic color that becomes part of people’s lives.”
OPI Co-Founder and Brand Ambassador Suzi Weiss-Fischmann said she is excited about The Vault collection. When asked about her favorite hue, she had trouble pinning down one.
“It’s hard to pick just one shade out of the thousands I’ve created,” she told Happi. “So many shades represent different moments in my life; OPI Red is where it all began. Kyoto Pearl is my wedding day. Big Apple Red is the city that shaped me. Pompeii Purple is a favorite family vacation.”
Weiss-Fischmann added: “OPI brought Deer Valley Spice back from the vault and I was instantly transported back to the first time I learned how to ski. The personal connections these shades have created are what makes OPI so special and explains why fans are so excited for the OPI Most Requested Collection; we’re not just relaunching old shades; we’re restoring moments in time.”
In 2026, OPI celebrated its 45th anniversary with a slew of events, as reported in Happi.
Also, parent company Wella recently filed an IPO.
OPI is looking ahead to 2027, which Pantel says will be a healthy time for the nail category.
“Looking ahead to 2027, we expect nails to become an even greater form of self-expression, with consumers treating their manicures as an extension of how they accessorize and complete a look,” she told Happi. “We’re forecasting more experimentation with color, finishes and nail art that adds that extra layer of personality, alongside unexpected collaborations that bring fresh inspiration and cultural relevance to the category. At the same time, one staple will always remain: nudes. We expect to see the nude palette continue to evolve, with fresh tones and finishes that make this timeless category feel new again.”
And OPI officials said they plan to roll out “something special” next month, but are keeping details under wraps. Til then, dedicated OPI shoppers can celebrate having their fan favorites back in hand.
